Heymans Kole started operations in Polokwane from 2000 when land was acquired to develop & establish a depot. The company moved to their current location in 2004. Initially, the decision to establish a presence in Polokwane was due to the fact that a large customer base was established there & the company had to transport products from mines around Standerton to large companies in Polokwane, notably producers of food. Since then, Heymans Kole customer base have grown locally and cross border into Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. The depot is located outside Polokwane on the N1 heading to Zimbabwe, main commodities transported: chrome, fertilizer, coal, coke & grain.
